This paper’s message is clear and quickly explains the key pieces of technology it is addressing. Although it doesn’t explain what they mean by “Inspirational Bits” quickly enough even though it is referenced a few times in the paper before explaining the method.
Their general idea is to use a phone to communicate with an NFC bank card to get a quick visualization of the balance on an account.
They have clearly described and illustrated several different methods in which they tested the boundaries of how efficient NFC can be. The user testing they carried out is clearly documented in the paper with several images. After conducting their user testing workshop they found their feedback to be positive and give examples of the feedback they acquired.
In my own opinion I find their application to be a great idea and would be something I would use myself and the methods they went about testing were more than adequate.
